Two big things we hear about frequently in products today are hemp oil and CBD oil. As the world progresses toward actually accepting that these two items are incredibly beneficial, easy to grow and process, and have a myriad of uses you might have heard the two used interchangeably, or at least heard them both and don’t really know what they do. I won’t lie to you- I was in the same boat until recently.  After starting to represent a company that uses hemp oil I’ve even heard things like “I already use CBD” or “we already sell CBD” and I just want to let you know that they are not the same. And here’s how they differ:

CBD- CBD is an oil that is produced from the hemp plant itself. Leaves, stalks, etc.  It has little to no THC but yields many benefits for the body. CBD is often used more toward pain management or mood stabilization.  It works because it activates the receptors that regulate things like pain, mood, body temperature, cognitive function, and even muscle repair.  It can be used topically or ingested to take advantage of these benefits. It seems like there is CBD everything these days- gummies, tea, trendy foods, and even dog treats.

Hemp Oil- is derived from cold pressing the seeds of the hemp plant.  It usually contains no CBD, and also can be used topically or internally.  Hemp oil is amazing because it is super high in Omega fatty acids.  Actually, it contains 25 x the omegas than olive oil! Used internally it can help to promote brain and heart health.  It also helps with the growth and maintenance of your hair, skin, and nails.  Externally, it helps to reduce the signs of aging and sun damage, promotes skin health and strengthens the skin which helps to fight off infections, it reduces inflammation, and is great for things like eczema, cradle cap, dermatitis (which is what I use it for), and many other issues.  It can be used to regulate bacterial growth in things such as toothpaste, and that makes you have better breath! You can find it available in oil form, or used in products such as creams, lotions, topical pain ointments, toothpaste, shampoos, everything! It is even safe for children and babies to use.

If you would like to learn more about hemp oil specifically, please visit Annabis North America on all social media platforms, or their website at www.annabis.us to learn about hemp oil, how it is made and used, and the range of products they offer.  I hope this clears things up, and everyone be well!
